This document details the OmniVista Terra installation procedure on VMware ESXi. OmniVista Terra can be installed as a fresh installation from a downloaded file available on the Customer Support website. OmniVista Terra is distributed as a Virtual Appliance only. There are no other standalone installers (e.g., Windows/Linux). It is installed as a Virtual Appliance, and can be deployed on the system and hypervisors defined in this section.
Hypervisor Prerequisites
Ensure that the following are in place before you begin:

Download the OVTX OVA file and Build release file ( .7z file) from the MyPortal website.

Use a VMware ESXi server with version 8.

CPU Must Support AVX/AVX2 Instructions - In a vCenter cluster configuration, it is required to enable EVC mode with the CPU baseline set to “Ice Lake” (3rd Gen Xeon) or later. This ensures support for advanced CPU instruction sets such as AVX and AVX2. As a minimum requirement, the “Broadwell” baseline may be used.
