Diagnostic Tools

The OmniVista Cirrus 10 Diagnostic Tools are accessed by clicking on Diagnostic Tools under the “Monitor” section of the OmniVista Cirrus Menu. When you click on the Diagnostic Tools menu option, the following list of applications is provided to assist you with analyzing and troubleshooting your network:

  • Alerts - Monitor and analyze alerts received from network devices.

  • Device Troubleshooting - Used to send commands to network devices to troubleshoot and resolve device problems.

  • Network Events - Monitor notification events and configure event management tasks.

  • Terminal- Establish a basic CLI/Scripting session with a device.

  • Collect Support Information - Collect log files from a network device that you can send to Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) to troubleshoot problems.

  • Remote Packet Capture - Remotely trigger, collect, and manage packet captures (pcap) from Access Points connected to OmniVista so that you can perform network troubleshooting, security analysis, and performance diagnostics centrally without on-site intervention.
