Move Access Points from OmniVista Cirrus 4 to OmniVista R10
If you want to manage Access Point devices that are already declared in OmniVista Cirrus 4, complete the following steps to move the Access Points to OmniVista 10:
Create a new subscription for OmniVista Cirrus 10.
Activate the OmniVista Cirrus 10 subscription.
Login to OmniVista Cirrus 10 and manually setup the initial configuration for the Access Point (create AP Group, Provisioning Configuration, SSID, Access Policy, and other objects) to match the configuration for the Access Point in OmniVista Cirrus 4.
Manually verify that all of the Access Point configuration in OmniVista Cirrus 4 now exists in OmniVista Cirrus 10.
Remove the Access Point from the Device Catalog in OmniVista Cirrus 4.
Add the Access Point to the Device Catalog in OmniVista Cirrus 10.
Wait for the Access Point to call home and onboard in OmniVista Cirrus 10. Once Access Point is fully onboarded, the Management Connectivity will show as "On" in the Device Catalog. Note that during the onboarding process, the Access Point will go through an AWOS version upgrade to AWOS 4.0.8 GA and then reboot.
Wait for the Access Point clients to reconnect. After the clients reconnect, they must re-authenticate.
Note: Expect a downtime of approximately 25 minutes after an Access Point is added to the Device Catalog of OmniVista Cirrus 10.
