OmniVista Cirrus 10.1 is a cloud-based Network Management System (NMS) that provides Wi-Fi analytics based on events sent from Stellar Access Points. An existing installation of OmniVista 2500 4.6R1 or OmniVista Cirrus 4.6.1 is required to initially discover, register, and manage Stellar Access Points. Once discovered, the Access Points are then configured to send events to OmniVista Cirrus 10.1, where the data is gathered and can be analyzed by a Network Administrator. See the Getting Started section for more information.

This release of OmniVista Cirrus 10.1 provides a trial subscription-based solution that enables a Network Administrator to set up a Management Portal for their Organization. In OmniVista Cirrus, the Network Administrator at this level is known as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) User. Once an MSP User creates an Organization, they create users and give them access to the Organization’s Management Portal. These are known as Organization Users.

When an MSP User creates an account, a default End Customer (EC) Organization Management Portal is created. The MSP User can then create different physical sites under that Organization, as shown in the hierarchy diagram below.

Or, a university system could create a University MSP Organization (e.g., California State University), with sub-Organization EC Organization Management Portals for each campus (e.g., Northridge, Channel Islands). The MSP User can then create users for each EC Organization Management Portal.

OmniVista Cirrus 10.1 is a free “teaser” version of the full OmniVista Cirrus Solution that will be offered in a subsequent release; and can be used as a complement to any existing OmniVista Enterprise or OmniVista Cirrus installation.

OmniVista Cirrus 10.1 simplifies monitoring and troubleshooting of APs through detailed QoE Measurements and WiFi Analytics in an easy-to-read dashboard display. This limited, “teaser” version of OmniVista Cirrus extends for 6 months and can be used to monitor up to 20 wireless devices (additional time and number of devices can be requested).

OmniVista Cirrus 10.1 can be accessed from anywhere, using any approved browser and device (e.g., workstation, tablet). Access to OmniVista Cirrus is supported on the following browsers: Chrome 79+ (on Windows and Redhat/SuSE Linux client PCs), and Firefox 62+ (on Windows and Redhat/SuSE Linux client PCs).
